Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how NexHire handles information for visitors, guest applicants, registered users, and administrators who use the platform.
We aim to collect only the information needed to operate the site, support job discovery and applications, secure the platform, and improve the user experience over time.
If you do not agree with this policy, you should stop using the platform. Continued use means you understand how the service processes information in connection with browsing, applying, and account features.
Information we collect
The data we process depends on how you use the site, whether you create an account, and whether you submit an application.
Information you provide may include your name, email address, profile preferences, alert settings, account credentials, application details, and resume-derived content.
Information collected automatically may include device or browser details, IP-related security signals, request metadata used for abuse prevention, and basic technical logs needed to keep the service stable.
- Account data such as name, email, password hash, and profile preferences.
- Application data such as job interest, answers, and extracted resume content.
- Security-related request information used to detect spam, abuse, or suspicious behavior.
How we use information
We use personal information to operate the platform responsibly and deliver the features users expect.
That includes creating and managing accounts, supporting guest and signed-in applications, associating eligible guest activity with a user who later registers, sending job alerts when subscribed, and protecting the platform from spam or fraud.
We may also use aggregated or non-identifying operational information to improve performance, refine the product, and understand how people move through the public experience.
- Operate accounts, applications, alerts, and public browsing features.
- Secure the platform and reduce abuse on public forms.
- Improve product quality, reliability, and relevance over time.
How resume handling works
NexHire uses a privacy-conscious resume flow designed to extract useful information without retaining the uploaded file itself.
When a resume is uploaded, the file is parsed in memory so the platform can extract text, keywords, skills, summaries, or related signals that help power applications and candidate tools.
The original file is not retained by the platform after processing. Administrators reviewing applications see the stored extracted content rather than a downloadable resume file.
- Resume files are processed temporarily for extraction.
- The original uploaded file is discarded after parsing.
- Stored resume data may include extracted text, summary, skills, keywords, and related structured signals.
Retention and your choices
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the platform, support legitimate business needs, and meet legal or security obligations.
Registered users can update profile information from their dashboard, and you may contact the team if you need help with access, correction, or deletion requests.
Some records may be retained for auditing, fraud prevention, compliance, or dispute-resolution reasons even after an account or application is no longer active.
- You can manage parts of your data directly when signed in.
- You can contact us about privacy requests or corrections.
- Operational, legal, or anti-abuse needs may justify limited retention.
